- We ask that you arrive 15 minutes early to allow time to fill out waivers and prepare for departure.

- Closed toe shoes are required to participate.

- We do NOT allow double riding.

- All children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

- We will supply you with a small bag to be worn around the waist that can carry a 500 ml water bottle and phone.

- No purses or cameras that strap over the body for entrapment safety reasons. We request that you remove and place in the supplied waist bag.

- No expectant mothers please.

- Our trail rides are walk only unless a private ride is booked and everyone in your group is an experienced rider. If a private ride is wanting to go faster, we do require that everyone passes a riding test beforehand, demonstrating control of your horse and be able to maintain an independent seat at a trot.

- Our rides may have typically a maximum capacity of 8 when booking a general trail ride. If interested in a larger group or a private trail ride please email us several days in advance.

- Helmets are required for all riders under the age of 18 and optional for adults. We provide complimentary riding helmets but we encourage you to bring your own helmet if you prefer. Bicycle, skateboard, ski/snowboard or equine riding helmets are acceptable as long as they fit properly.

- We sanitize our helmets after every use.

Height and Weight Restrictions

We use the Height-to-Weight Proportion Chart as illustrated to ensure the safety and comfort of both the rider and our horses. It is a tool we use in determining if an individual can sit comfortably within the saddle parameters (seat size and stirrup length) and safely negotiate the terrain in which we ride, while staying balanced in the saddle. We realize the chart is a tool and not a perfect representation of a person’s individual ability, but as per our insurance it is a policy we must strictly adhere to as we strive to keep everyone safe.

Accuracy of heights and weights given upon reservation (give or take 5 lbs) is very important,
and sometimes essential to our ability to fulfill the reservation. We have horses of varied sizes and strive to ensure our horses do not carry more weight than they can safely and comfortably carry, we have limited horses that can carry riders over 200 lbs.

If there appears to be a discrepancy of what was listed on your reservation we do reserve the right to check your weight at check in and refuse services without a refund if you fall outside of the height-to-weight restrictions.
Please do not make us get out the scale, it’s awkward for everyone so we appreciate your accuracy.

All riders must be able to mount and dismount their horse using a mounting block without assistance. We implement this as a safety precaution in the event of an issue arising with a rider or horse during the ride that would require a rider to dismount on the trail.

WE APPRECIATE YOUR UNDERSTANDING AND HONESTY - OUR HORSES THANK YOU TOO!!
